VectorWorks is a five-year (2014-2019) global malaria prevention project funded by the U.S. President’s Malaria Initiative (PMI) through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). The purpose of the VectorWorks project is to support countries to achieve and maintain high levels of coverage and use of long-lasting insecticide-treated mosquito nets (ITNs) and facilitate the adoption of proven alternative vector management interventions. These include, targeting specific sites or populations. VectorWorks activities focus on three main areas: policy, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), and implementation support.
The VectorWorks project is seeking a consultant or team of consultants to write the project’s End of Project Report. This will require the consultant to distill important achievements across all of the VectorWorks activities, highlighting and emphasizing successes and lessons learned. The primary audience for this report will be PMI.
Scope of Work:
The consultant will support the project to develop a captivating final report that details the projects major achievements. The report will highlight work that has been accomplished over the last five years across the six partner organizations including Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs, Tropical Health LLP, Population Services International, Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute, Tulane University, and Ifakara Institute for Health in fourteen countries across sub-Saharan Africa and Myanmar.
Much of the information that will be used in this report will be found in the project’s prior annual reports, published manuscripts, presentations, success stories, and other project outputs. The consultant will be asked to extract the salient points and present them in a way that is concise, digestible, and visually appealing.
The final report will not be used as a dissemination platform but instead will reference our websites and toolkits where our resources and products live.
The project team will support the consultant with the outline of the report but it is expected that the consultant will provide ideas for layout and structure supporting the ideas expressed in this RFP.
